“For sure the place is very historic architectural was very nice, lots of antique pictures all very nice….. except two things that I did not like. Breakfast was none satisfactory, everything is on croissant like sausage, egg, and cheese felt like all was done on a microwave but not only was not satisfactory for $15.00 the lady server didn’t seem very happy to be there and the order was all wrong. I was there for my son’s wedding, so apparently at the bar they don’t carry Corona beer luckily I had one left that I brought down to the party….so this lady at the bar notice I had it, so she immediately came to me from across the room at the party and with a strong voice said “you cant have that in here” and ran to this other guy that was across from my table and he came to me and said “ sir you can’t have that in here” and took it from me. Myself im thinking, people pay big money to do a wedding at least have a little bit more professionalism when you are talking to customers. I feel that, that should’ve been handled in a way better manner and professional.”

“Fantastic hotel. Such great atmosphere and Pittsburgh history, with comfortable rooms and really nice staff. It's good to remember that the building is actually old and therefore has the quirks of an older home - some windows are maybe a bit drafty (looking at you, bathroom in 2101) and you can hear voices and footsteps in the hall. But this barely matters when you're walking distance from Walnut and CMU and you feel like a Mellon. Or a Scaife. Or a Frick, considering the house was built by his personal attorney. And on top of it all I think it's well priced!! Recommended.”

“We had our wedding at this hotel and could not have been happier. The food, venue, coordination and planning was all amazing. Zach helped coordinate our party throughout the day and consistently checked in on us, as well as the servers and employees. Our guests loved staying onsite as well, all of the rooms and architecture is so unique and beautiful.”
